What do you get if you mix DBA Homes with a few hundred grams of flour, two dozen free-range eggs and a few tablespoons of baking powder?
A charity cake bake, of course! All in aid of Help for Heroes.
The leading local housebuilder is proud to be throwing open its doors this month, to host a cake sale which promises to ooze flavour and be finger-licking good, all whilst raising vital funds for this great cause.
Even better, all of the cakes are being baked by a local ex-forces soldier with a passion for home cooking.
The event is taking place at DBA Homes’ development Haughton Grange in Morville on Saturday 29th June from 12pm-2.30pm and all proceeds will go towards supporting regular and reserve personnel and veterans who have suffered injuries or illness during or as a result of service which impacts on their daily life.
Andy Timbrell, managing director of DBA Homes, comments: “It’s important to us as a company to support different causes where and when we can, and we’re delighted to have the cakes made for us by a local ex-soldier.
“As we have just a few homes now remaining for sale at Haughton Grange we thought what better opportunity to showcase them to visitors, all whilst indulging in a slice of cake or two for a great charity.
“We hope as many people as possible come along so that we can raise a substantial sum for Help for Heroes.”
The homes now remaining at Haughton Grange include a selection of executive four- and five-bed detached properties, starting from £429,950 and with Help to Buy available.
All properties are built to meet the latest eco standards and include features such as an
en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom, log burner in the lounge and superbly appointed kitchens and bathrooms.
